While the new DVS (Dynamic Water Vapor Adsorption) method is fast, it has its own challenges, such as high price and low data points. Ancient isotherm methods require many desiccators and months of manual data collection. The AQUALAB VSA creates both isotherms by the DVS method and isotherms by the truly dynamic and high-resolution DDI (Dynamic Dew Point Isotherms) method in less than 48 hours, solving problems such as preventing consolidation, compatibility of excipients with APIs, and selecting appropriate packaging.
AquaLab is the quickest, most accurate, and most reliable instrument available for measuring water activity. Whether you are researching or working on the production line, AquaLab will suit your needs. It is easy to use and provides accurate and timely results. The New AquaLab 3 uses the “dew point method” to measure moisture content using water activity, all with the same instrument. The result: complete moisture analysis in about five minutes for most samples, with some big advantages over traditional moisture meters.
Like the higher-end AquaLab 4TE, the AquaLab Pre measures moisture activity using the chilled mirror dew point measurement method patented by the Meter Group (formerly Decagon). It can ± 0.05~1.000 AW samples with a high accuracy of 0.01 AW and complete the measurement in less than 5 minutes. The built-in temperature control system controls the temperature of the instrument to 25°C, so that measurements can be made at a constant temperature without being affected by the outside temperature.
